Blake
Nichols, class of
2007, qualified for the NAIA National Tournament this past season for Baconi University
in Oklahoma. Blake was a two time section finalist for College Park before going to Sac City Junior
College.
Arman
Ostadshariff ,
class of 2007, will be starting his senior season as a Gator for NCAA Div. II
member San Francisico State. Arman was
a two time section placer and one time state qualifier for College Park.
Rick
Erlec, class of
2007, is currently competing in both Muay-Thai and MMA
at the amateur level. Rick is shown
here with his Western Regional Amateur MMA
belt. Rick was a state qualifier for
CP his senior year.
Jim
Albertson, class
of 2008, was a section placer for College Park his senior year. Jim was also an exceptional swimmer and
continued swimming at DVC. He is now
swimming at NCAA Div. II member Mesa
State College in Colorado.
Dylan
Phillipy, class of
2009, finished 4TH in the state his senior year at College Park. Dylan will be a redshirt sophomore
wrestling for San Francisco
State this season
Dave Garcia, class of 1998
played football and wrestled heavyweight for College Park. Dave is now a line coach at Diablo Valley College.
Anthony Garcia, class of 2000 was a NCS
qualifier for CP at the 215 lb weight division. Anthony is now coaching football with his
brother at Diablo
Valley College.
Orry Elor, class of 2011 was a 2x state placer for College Park. Orry is continuing his wrestling career at
NCAA DIV I member Ohio
State.
Gerson Nkunku, class of 2008 was a 2x
State
qualifier for College Park. Gerson
is
wrestling at Sacramento
City College
at
184lbs. Gerson was a Graduate
Assistant
coach at CP last year during his
redshirt year.

Wrestling is, without a doubt, the toughest high
school sport in the nation. Those
that wrestle are challenged physically, mentally and emotionally every
day. Faced with the prospect of hard
work many quit. Others will step up
to the task with drive, determination and desire. Hard work does pay off. Those that remain will be champions. Listed below are the names of those who
remained and finished their high school wrestling career. Their shared experiences exemplify the
